A new remote coronavirus detection centre west of Glasgow, at Riverside Car Park, opened on Friday, October 2.
The verification centre is provided through the UK government as a component of an effort across the UK to continue the accessibility of coronavirus verification for local communities and is operated through Mitie on behalf of the British government.
The centre is a component of the largest network of diagnostic services created in British history. In Scotland, this includes six driving sites, five guest sites, 21 cellular units and the Glasgow Lighthouse Laboratory, which works 24 hours a day to process samples.
In Scotland, the UK government provides all COVID testing and outdoor testing processing of the NHS. Approximately two-thirds of all daily tests are conducted through the UK government on Scottish fitness services.
Tests should be reserved in advance with NHS Inform or by calling 0800 028 2816. People only reserve the check if they have symptoms of coronavirus (high temperature, new and continuous cough, or loss or replacement of the sense of smell or taste).
The Minister of Health, Lord Bethell, said:
