SANTA FE, N. M. (AP) – The physical condition of New Mexico reported on Sunday 269 new cases of COVID-19 and 4 more deaths.
This raised state totals to 32,983 instances and 911 deaths.
On Saturday, the state reported 486 more cases of COVID-19, two fewer than the 488 reported on Friday, and five more deaths.
The counties with the maximum number of additional cases reported on Sunday were Bernalillo with one hundred and Doña Ana with 40.
Bernalillo County includes Albuquerque, the state’s most populous city.
Most out-of-state travelers should be quarantined when they arrive in New Mexico, with the exception of others arriving from six northeastern states, California and Washington.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough, that go away within two to three weeks.
But for some, especially the elderly and others with existing physical disorders, this can lead to more serious illnesses, adding to pneumonia and death. The vast majority of other people are recovering.
