NEW Health Charlestown’s team and site are expanding with the opening of a pharmacy that was a critical need for the neighborhood, as well as an expanded floor of momentum, more variety and new hires.
Health Charlestown’s NEW pharmacy at 15 Tufts Street officially opened in January with a rite of dedication on March 25. The pharmacy is on the first lot in the former Crossroads space. The expansion also includes a new convention hall, exam rooms and grading rooms. and the arrival of more services, all in the moment. In addition, Dr. Anne Murray-Chiriboga, a longtime provider for NEW Health Charlestown, has been named physician-in-chief of the North End and Charlestown sites. John Foster recently retired from NEW Health after 35 years as Chief of Staff. During this time, she helped advise the fitness center through the partnership process with General Brigham and the COVID-19 pandemic. Murray-Chiriboga has played a pivotal role in patient care at the Charlestown site, following a holistic style of care.
