NEW HAVEN — The city’s emergency operations office, in partnership with the fitness branch and chimney branch, will distribute 10,000 immediate COVID-19 kits to New Haven citizens and businesses on Saturday.
The distribution will take place from nine to nine. M. A 11 a. m. at a distribution service at the New Haven Regional Fire Training Academy, 230 Ella Grasso Blvd.
Each vehicle will get five boxes each with two checks. Residents will need to submit proof of residency to obtain the check kits, which have an expiration date of January 23, 2023.
“As citizens begin returning to work and school in the new year, everyone remains vigilant about preventing the spread of COVID-19 through testing when they show symptoms,” officials said in a press release. “Residents are encouraged to take credit for those loose COVID-19 tests and get fully vaccinated against COVID and flu. “
