New groups of COVID-19 detected in 3 bedrooms that in the past had been eliminated from the disease

SINGAPORE: On Sunday (September 6) new COVID-19 clusters were met in 3 dormitories of migrant personnel who had in the past been free of coronavirus, a network case connected to one of the clusters.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported on Sunday that the new conglomerates have given the impression at Cassia-Penjuru at 15 Penjuru Walk, CDPL Tuas Dormitory at 6 Tuas South Street 15 and Kranji Lodge 1 on 12 Kranji Road.

The 3 bedrooms were classified as isolation zones in April of the Infectious Diseases Act before being declared COVID-19-free last month.

Of the new instances of COVID-19 reported in Singapore on Sunday, 23 occurred in dormitories.

One of the 4 cases on the network, a 34-year-old Indian citizen, connected to CDPL Tuas’ new bedroom group, was detected as a component of the Ministry of Health’s regime tests on construction, marine and procedures personnel living outdoors in the dormitories.

NEW CLUSTERS

Seven of the recently shown instances were connected to 10 past instances to shape the new organization in the TUas CDPL bedroom, which it declared COVID-19-free on August 10.

Before the cluster was shut down, more than 2,000 infections were connected, making it one of Singapore’s COVID-19 clusters.

Thirteen instances showed that they were previously connected to shape the new group at Cassia-Penjuru. The bedroom was declared COVID-19 free on August 10. Before the group closed, there were more than 1,900 similar instances.

Five in the past showed instances that have been connected to shape the new group at Kranji Lodge 1.The bedroom was connected to more than 670 instances before it was declared FREE of COVID-19 on August 8.

All foreign dormitories were declared COVID-19 free through the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on August 19, adding separate blocks in specially constructed dormitories that are used as isolation or quarantine facilities.

But in recent weeks, new coVID-19 groups have been known in dormitories that have disappeared from the disease in the past.

New equipment has also been reported at Sungei Tengah Lodge, Homestay Lodge, Tuas View Dormitory, Changi Lodge 2, North Coast Lodge, Toh Guan Dormitory, Cochrane Lodge 2, Westlite Toh Guan, Blue Stars Dormitory, Cochrane Lodge 1, Mandai Lodge 1 and South Tuas Dormitory.

Workers who remain in the dormitories and those in the structure, marine and procedural sectors, as well as those who stop at the structure sites, must go through regime tests every 14 days.
