New French instances of COVID-19 slow down, death toll accelerates

PARIS (Reuters) – The French fitness government reported on Monday 5084 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, a sharp drop from 16,972 on Saturday and 12,565 on Sunday.

Monday’s figure tends to drop, as fewer tests are performed on Sundays.

The number of others who have died in France from COVID-19 infections has increased from 69 to 32,299, up from 32 on Sunday. The cumulative number of instances is now 624,274.
