New COVID-19 infections in France up to nearly 4,000

PARIS (Reuters) – France’s Ministry of Fitness reported 3,776 new cases of coronavirus infections on Wednesday, bringing the total to 225,043, and the figure exceeds the threshold of 3,000 for the third time in five days.

The seven-day moving average of the number of cases, which eliminates irregularities in daily reports, is now 2621, exceeding the 2500 threshold for the first time since 19 April, when France was in the midst of a strict block to involve the virus.
