Parliament’s spending regulator says that few of the past government’s new fitness benefits will pass on to others who have tested positive for COVID-19.
In a report this morning, the Parliamentary Budget Officer estimates that $50 million of the estimated $655 million in the benefits of the new disease will pass to staff with COVID-19.
It is estimated that the vast majority of this and upcoming spending will pass to Americans who are absent from other diseases, or because they would be in the greatest threat if coVID-19 were hit.
A separate note from Yves Giroux’s prices also estimates that most of the costs of a new 26-week care service will be transferred to parents caring for children.
Giroux’s report indicates that of the estimated net fee of $1. 4 billion in leave this fiscal year and next, more than $1 billion will pass to parents who have to stay home to care for young people who would be in the greatest threat if they tackle COVID. -19, and another $306 million because a child or classmate is sick.
But reports warn that the estimates of the set of measures that replace the Canadian emergency response allocation are related to the progress of the pandemic and the amount of COVID-19.
