There is only one new case of COVID-19 in Gray-Bruce this weekend, the public fitness workplace reported.
Dr. Ian Arra, a local fitness physician at Gray Bruce Health Unit, announced the new case Sunday in his update at 3:30 p. m.
Currently, there are 130 reported cases of the pandemic virus in Gray-Bruce. Of this total number, there are two active cases, 123 have recovered and five have been referred to fitness services. No one died and no one is in the hospital because of COVID-19.
On Saturday, Arra said the outbreak ended at seasons nursing home in Owen Sound, and declared on August 31, when a remote resident hit the virus. It is the only long-term care or retirement home with an outbreak reported in Gray-Bruce. .
Additional cases in Ontario have exceeded two hundred in the last 3 days. There were 204 other cases and a new death by COVID on Sunday. The number of cases has accelerated across the country.
“Over the next week, an average of 633 cases are now reported daily across Canada, which is more than 20% higher than last week, as this indicator of disease activity continues to increase slowly and steadily nationally,” Dr. Theresa Tam, the country’s public health leader, said on a Sunday.
Tam said there has been a stable accumulation in the number of cases in recent weeks, in a wider variety of contexts.
“This is a reminder that the fact that you meet other people attending an outdoor occasion of your bubble/close contacts does not mean you have a reduced coVID-19 threat. “
Ontario had 44,504 cases, of which 39,841 were resolved on Sunday. Ontario has had 2,815 deaths, 39 recently in hospitals and 14 in intensive care, nine of which are in respirators, the province’s COVID-19 said.
There were 136,141 COVID-19 cases Sunday lunchtime, 9,170 deaths, and 88% are recovering now.
