NCDC announces 176 new COVID-19s in Nigeria

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 176 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the country.

The NCDC did so on Wednesday on its official Twitter account.

According to the agency, the new infection brings the total number of those shown in the country to 57,437.

The NCDC said new ones were reported in 14 federation states.

He claimed that Lagos reported infection in the country with 73, Plateau (50), FCT (17), Rivers (8), Ondo (6), Niger (5), Ogun (5), Edo (3), Kaduna (3), Oyo (2), Bauchi (1), Bayelsa (1), Delta (1) and Nasarawa (1).

According to him, 57613 have been confirmed to date, 48836 have been released and 1,100 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and CTF.

The fitness firm said that a multisectoral national emergency operations center (CSF), activated at Level 3, continued to coordinate the national reaction across the country.

He added that coVID-19 engines were others across the country, so subnational understanding of transmission is essential.

“We can’t celebrate the decline of national numbers until we’ve tested a sufficient number in the state,” he said.

The NCDC reported that the maximum non-unusual symptoms and symptoms reported through patients with COVID-19 in Nigeria were cough and fever.

The firm said most patients who died would also have difficulty breathing.

“Most of those who died were between 61 and 70 years old.

The firm said a well-used face mask acts as a protective barrier to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

“Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth well, laces with straps.

“Remember, a mask is a non-public object and cannot be shared,” he says.
