Rapid antigenics to play a key role in Covid-19 strategy for Irish companies
Award-winning life sciences company MyBio, founded in Kilkenny, has partnered with German manufacturer M-LaLab GmbH to offer the world’s most accurate Covid-19 antigen test that can be obtained on the Irish market. virus with an accuracy rate of 99%.
Immediate economic control of antigens is analyzed without further devices or laboratory, generating effects in 15 minutes, the control will make it less difficult to encounter asymptomatic carriers of the virus and locate contacts from those that may have already been exposed.
Commenting on the CE-IVD-certified test, MyBio CEO Linda Nolan said: “With the growing demand for existing Covid-19 PCR state tests and the growing desire for corporations to implement an undeniable preselection service for employees, antigen testing is an essential tool to restrict the spread of Covid-19 in Ireland.
MyBio already distributes these tests to nursing homes, manufacturers, fitnesscare distributors, structure companies, hotels and fitness clubs across Ireland. We have noticed first-hand the benefits and positive effects this form of testing has had on employers to put office testing methods into effect. to remain open and operational. This is working, and the call in development obviously illustrates the vital need for immediate and accurate testing in Ireland. “
Antigen verification advocates come with Harvard epidemiologist Dr Michael Mina, who is a strong advocate for the role immediate antigenic checks can play in defeating the virus. Mina argues that while the use of clinical controls by PCR is to control symptomatic individuals, antigenic controls provide a faster and more cost-effective solution for monitoring the asymptomatic spread of Covid-19 in the community.
Verification is designed to complement that update the existing verification system in the state, allowing immediate and consistent verification before positive instances pass an official confirmation check.
With the Centre for Global Development estimating that there is a 50% chance of receiving a vaccine until April 2021, MyBio also published a white paper this week on ”The role of antigen testing in the plan to live with Covid-19” describing the Role of Such Tests will play in Ireland’s strategy as society adapts to life with the virus.
Commenting on the document, Dr. Nolan said: “Our study demonstrates why antigen testing changes the rules of the game by providing an option for extensive vital testing. As the recent escalation of cases has highlighted, the locks alone do not work and are quick tests. to become an integral component of our daily lives. Rapid antigenic testing is the solution to track the virus more as it should be and temporarily prevent its spread. “
