SAPPORO (AP) — Shota Imanaga retired 10 and Munetaka Murakami hit his fourth run in three games for the Japan national in an 8-1 victory over Australia in their first preparation for the World Baseball Classic on Wednesday.
The adjustment is the first of two before the WBC in March, when Japan and Australia will meet in their first-round group at the Tokyo Dome.
