A parliamentarian who diagnosed Covid-19 apologized for attending Parliament after experiencing symptoms.
SNP DEPUTY Margaret Ferrier traveled to London to discuss the reaction to coronavirus when she already had to feel unwell.
She said she had taken the test on Saturday afternoon after experiencing “mild symptoms,” meaning she had estranged herself, before traveling to London through the exercise on Monday.
“It was a mistake and I regret my mistake,” rutherglen and Hamilton West’s deputy said.
In a tweet, he added that “there is no excuse for my actions” after revealing it while she is positive about the virus.
Ms. Ferrier spoke in the debate about coronavirus in the House of Commons on Monday and, according to her account, the Covid-19 test was tested that night.
“I went home exercising on Tuesday morning without asking for advice. It was, too, and I’m sorry.
“I’ve been isolated at home ever since,” he says.
The MP “informed the police of my actions” and informed the traceability formula and the Commons authorities.
“Although I feel good, I have turned away from myself while waiting for the result of my test, and I deeply regret my actions.
“I take full duty and urge everyone not to make the same mistakes as me and to do everything possible to restrict the spread of Covid-19,” he said.
Ferrier has in the past criticized Boris Johnson’s senior adviser Dominic Cummings for his behavior in the pandemic.
Speaking to questions from the Cabinet Office on June 11, Ferrier told the House of Commons: “Public fitness experts have expressed fear that Dominic Cummings has undermined public confidence in blocking rules, opposing the code of conduct integrity precept.
“Will the Cabinet Office investigate possible violations of the Code of Conduct through Mr. Cummings, or will ministers have returned once they have had enough experts?”
The topic of questions at this level of consultation is the Code of Conduct of Special Advisers.
Several politicians force him to resign after the incident.
Ruth Davidson, leader of the Conservative Party in the Scottish Parliament, tweeted: “This case of Margaret Ferrier is another: knowingly taking public transport after positive for COVID-19 is putting lives at risk.
“She’ll have to go.
Scotland’s former Labour and cooperative MP Paul Sweeney has supported Margaret Ferrier’s resignation.
Sweeney tweeted: “A parliamentarian who travels to London through the exercise waiting for the result of a Covid is obviously a stupid thing.
“Returning to Glasgow through exercise after receiving a result is gross negligence.
“Ms. Ferrier pays attention to the recommendation she submitted to Mr. Cummings and resigns. “
Conservative DEPUTY Alicia Kearns said it was “unforgivable. ” Ferrier waited 3 days to tell MPs that he had tested positive for the virus.
A Speaker for the House of Commons said: “One member showed that he had been diagnosed with coronavirus. The company’s priority is the protection of those provided in the box while business is facilitated. “
“We have been following the public’s aptitude for what to do with a shown case of Covid on the site.
“Parliament has a team committed to test and traceability groups across the UK, which acts as a central point of contact in cases of suspected or proven cases, when an individual has worked in the field.
“We are also implementing a series of blank measures to ensure that those in the box can maintain a blank and hygienic environment with paints and ensure that Parliament adheres to the government’s rules on ‘safe running coronavirus’.
“Our threat assessment describes the measures we have already put in position to reduce the threat of transmission to Parliament. The presidents and political leaders of any of the chambers are following the situation.
