LONDON – Formula One announced Tuesday the cancellation of the Chinese and Turkish Grand Prix returns to a 2020 calendar of 17 races that has been revised and shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Formula One said in a statement that the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain would host two races last November and early December, and that the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 13 would end the season. Thirteen other races had already been announced.
Some will be open to a limited number of fans, adding hospitality, he added. The six races held so far have been held behind closed doors (report via Alan Baldwin, edited through Hugh Lawson).
