Indiana reported 11,371 new coronavirus cases in the week ending Sunday, up from 11,173 last week of the virus that causes COVID-19.
Indiana ranked 40th among the states where the coronavirus spread the fastest, according to a study by Johns Hopkins University’s USA TODAY data network. Over the past week, coronavirus cases in the U. S. have been reported. week, with 947,862 cases reported. With 2. 02 percent of the nation’s population, Indiana recorded 1. 2 percent of the nation’s cases last week. Nationwide, 42 states had more cases in the week after than in the week after.

Across Indiana, cases fell in 41 counties, with the most productive declines in St. Joseph, with 338 cases to 450 the previous week; in Allen County, with 561 out of 647 cases; and Monroe County, with 176 out of 235 instances.
In Indiana, another 52 people were reported to have died from COVID-19 in the week ending Sunday. Last week, another 66 people died.
A total of 1,798,430 more people in Indiana have tested positive for coronavirus since the pandemic began, and another 24,000 people have died from the disease, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. In the United States, 89,542,107 more people tested positive and 1,023,799 more people died.
