SINGAPORE: Travelers from more countries will be allowed to make their 14-day apartment purchase at their Singapore apartment position of a compromised status quo from November 4.
The countries are Estonia, Fiji, Finland, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a press on Tuesday (27 October).
To refuse to stay on a compromised property, travelers from those locations must not have visited any other country in the last 14 days before entering Singapore.
They must also live alone in their apartment position or with family members who also mean making an apartment of the same duration and with the same history.
Requests to withdraw from compromised amenities are open on November 2, for arrivals from November.
Citizens of Singapore and permanent citizens must submit an application prior to arrival at the Safe Travel Office website.
“All travelers must give permission to retire upon arrival in Singapore,” the fitness ministry said.
As the list of countries will be updated from time to time based on the assessment of threats of public fitness, all travelers should be prepared to be subject to the border measures in force upon entry, adding the stay in the amenities of HHS (home apartment notice) and payment, if applicable. “
Currently, with the exception of countries to which Singapore has been unilaterally opened, travellers from certain low-risk countries or regions will have to serve seven days of stay at their home at the place of their appropriate apartment or accommodation of their choice. You will need to serve 14 days of making a stay at home in compromised facilities.
All travelers who choose not to remain in the committed amenities must remain in their declared apartment position at all times and will be subject to electronic tracking and punctual physical controls.
TRAVELERS WILL HAVE THE COST OF BEING IN DEDICATED FACILITIES
The Ministry of Health also announced that as of January 1, 2021, the government will no longer resign from the post of remaining in facilities for Singaporean citizens and permanent citizens who left Singapore for the last time before 27 March.
This is because the “vast majority” of Singaporean citizens and PRs who left Singapore for the last time in the following year have returned, the ministry said.
The government will also no longer pay the medical expenses of hospitalized patients of Singaporean citizens, PPs and long-term pass holders (LTPH) who left the country before 27 March if they expand COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of their arrival in Singapore.
This will take from January 1 of next year.
“They will need to use normal monetary arrangements for physical care for their hospital medical expenses: CSs and RRs can access government grants and the MediShield Life/Integrated Shield plan to pay their expenses, while SLTPs can operate with the same previous financial arrangements, such as personal insurance,” the ministry said.
He added that Singapore’s border measures will evolve as global COVID-19 changes.
“We will continue to greatly monitor global fitness and update our border measures in accordance with the public aptitude threat assessment,” the Ministry of Health said.
“If the scenario in a country/region deteriorates, stricter measures will be taken to restrict the import threat and prevent it from being networked from imported cases. “
