It took India 85 days to reach the Rs 10 crore figure. It then took forty-five days to surpass the Rs 20 crore mark, a further 29 days to reach Rs 30 crore. It took the country 24 days to achieve 40 crore rupees from 30 crore, and then, 20 days to cross the 50 crore vaccination mark on August 6. In less than 3 days, 50 crore rupee vaccine doses were administered in the country.
The national vaccination campaign started on 16 January with the vaccination of fitness staff (PS) and the vaccination of frontline staff (FLW) began on 2 February. The next phase of Covid vaccination began on March 1 for people over the age of 60. and for people over 60 years of age. Other people over the age of 45 and older with express comorbidities.
India introduced vaccination for all people over the age of forty-five from April 1. The government will then expand its vaccination campaign by allowing anyone over the age of 18 eligible to be vaccinated from May 1.
