ASTANA. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs has taken stock of the country’s migration situation. According to the acting chairman of the Migration Service Committee, Aslan Atalykov, more than five million foreigners have entered Kazakhstan this year, Kazinform reports.
A maximum of another 2,900,000 people arrived in Kazakhstan from Russia. 2,300,000 Uzbek citizens, 730,000 Kyrgyz citizens, more than 330,000 Tajiks and 90,000 Turks entered Kazakhstan in 2022.
He added that 650,000 foreigners are temporarily staying in Kazakhstan lately, while only about 6 million have left the country.
