Airport arrivals recorded a notable increase of 187%
Muscat: More than 32,000 foreign flights arrived and departed from airports in the Sultanate of Oman through the end of July 2022, an increase of 142. 1% compared to the same period in 2021.
The Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that foreign flights arriving and departing from Muscat, Salalah and Sohar airports recorded a remarkable growth of 142. 1% through the end of July 2022, reaching 32,608 for the same period in 2021, equivalent to 13,468 flights. .
Statistics published through the National Centre for Statistics and Information imply that the number of arrivals through airports has registered a notable increase of 187%, with a total number of arrival, departure and transit passengers at Muscat, Salalah, Sohar and Duqm airports reaching 4 907 599. until the end of July 2022.
The number of departure airports in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 127% through the end of July compared to the same period in 2021.
