IN AMERICA – The United States is entering a “new phase” of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Deborah Birx of the White House Coronavirus Working Group said as the pandemic enters its fifth month. She called the outbreak “extraordinarily widespread,” broadcast on CNN about the State of the Union on Sunday morning.
Birx said that the virus is now also discovered in rural areas and that some deserve to dress in a mask even at home.
“It doesn’t matter where you live in America, close to dressing up in a mask and walking away socially,” Birx said.
The doctor spoke at the time that the number of new coronavirus cases in the United States exceeded 100,000 in less than the early hours of August. Data from The Washington Post showed 106, four30 new instances reported on August 1 and 2 at four p.m. Sunday.
It begins a month after a devastating wave of infections in July. More than 1.9 million new cases were reported, the largest in a month unmarried, according to an earlier Washington Post report.
The total number of month-consistent infections reported across states is more than double that of June and accounts for approximately 42% of the country’s 4.5 million cases since the outbreak began. Nationwide, tests in July rose from around 600,000 to 820,000 tests consistent with the day.
No state in recent weeks has been more affected by the virus than Florida, which reported more than 7,000 new cases on Sunday, the maximum of state checkpoint sites were closed due to tropical storm Isaiah.
The state reported a 15% drop in the total number of new cases in the following week, according to the knowledge of The Washington Post.
The virus has also continued to have been heavily affecting sport globally. Several major league games have already been postponed due to positive coronavirus tests, and last weekend, Eduardo Rodriguez of the Boston Red Sox said he would pitch all this season due to a virus-related illness.
To date, nearly 154,000 more people in the United States have died from COVID-19, according to a Johns Hopkins University tally. There were more than 4.6 million cases reported.
