A larger Filipino team of a barn anchored off the coast of Pilbara in Washington state has been diagnosed with a coronavirus, bringing the ship’s total number of cases to 17.
Patricia Oldendorff was in a manganese ore shipment from Port Hedland, however some of the 21 team members reported having respiratory problems.
Ten of the positive cases are on the ground quarantined in hotels, while the other seven remain on board as team members.
“The remaining four members of the team, at this stage, came back negative,” the fitness ministry said Monday.
“Planning continues with the ship’s operator, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and the Pilbara Port Authority regarding the protection of the ship and replacement equipment imaginable, if necessary. “
The ministry is acting to assure the Port Hedland network that all protective measures are in position for them, saying it revels in the management of boat shoots.
