CHICAGO (CBS) — Since the big shutdown caused by the COVID pandemic, more employees returned to their Chicago offices in June, but one study found hybrid paints are here to stay.
Foot traffic to Chicago buildings reached 63% of pre-pandemic degrees last month, the highest number to date, according to a Placer. ai study.
At the beginning of the year, that figure was around 44%, indicating that the city center will be filled with stable staff this summer.
In January 2022, pedestrian traffic was only 25% of pre-pandemic levels. In April 2020, near the peak of the COVID lockdown, pedestrian traffic in the workplace had been reduced by 91% since the beginning of this year.
Placer. ai has studied buildings in 11 major U. S. cities. UU. Es people are more likely to have returned to Washington, D. C. and New York.
San Francisco has the fewest returning to the office, and about a portion of those still remaining as remoteArray.
Chicago is among the cities in the study.
