More Airlines Partner with UAE Healthcare Groups to Offer Cheaper COVID-19 PCR Testing

Dubai: More and more airlines are partnering with fitness personal care teams in the UAE to offer less expensive COVID-19 testing to passengers leaving the country due to the pandemic.

Dubai-based Flydubai announced Tuesday that it has partnered with Aster DM Healthcare to offer passengers COVID-19 PCR tests at a special rate of Dh180 according to the test.

“Flydubai passengers traveling from Dubai will be offered with tests at 28 Aster hospitals and clinics in Dubai and the Northern Emirates,” the airline said in a press release.

Gulf News reported on Sunday that at least 3 other airlines, Air Arabia of the United Arab Emirates and Air India of India and its subsidiary Air India Express, had partnered with NMC Healthcare to offer special rates for the polymerase chain reaction of reverse transcription (RT-PCR) tests for COVID -19.

Commonly known as PCRArray, confirmatory COVID-19 presents by Dh150 in NMC hospitals and medical centers.

An NMC spokesperson said Tuesday that two other airlines, Pakistan International Airline and India’s Indigo, have also partnered with the organization to offer the same discounted package to their passengers.

He added that NMC Healthcare institutions across the Emirates now provide the special they provide. Some amenities will also be providing home at Dh190.

How to get service benefits

flydubai has stated that its passengers must present a valid flydubai booking confirmation with their Emirates ID card or a copy of their passport to qualify for the offer. Test reports are issued after 48 hours. However, passengers who wish to check the effects within 24 hours can do so at any Aster Hospital branch in Dubai, Bur Dubai Aster Clinic branch or any Aster Clinic branch in Ajman, Ras Al. Khaimah or Sharjah, said the airline.

In addition to our on-board protection measures and our flexible new global policy for COVID-19, passengers can be encouraged to know that at each step of their adventure these facilities will help more passengers fly back, ”added Obaidalla.

The airline said that the service is valid for all reservations made through its website, the visitor center of the mobile application or shops, vacations through the flydubai portal, agents or any of its partners.

“Passengers can call the Aster DM Healthcare call center on 04 440 0500 to make an appointment and receive more information about the test,” he added.
