Extreme weather events, the annual monsoon season and the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on physical and economic status are hard affecting Bangladeshi communities. coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and increase the chances of transmission in populations that are already highly vulnerable.

Concern Worldwide, Mercy Corps and Practical Action, members of the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance in Bangladesh, conducted an evaluation of 15 Disaster Management Union (UMDC) committees in 3 districts to perceive the status of populations vulnerable to pandemic flooding; and provide recommendations to governments, donors and communities to better prepare for the dangers of COVID-19 during monsoon season.
