Mumbai The Ministry of Environment(EAC) Expert Committee on Coastal Regulation Area (CRZ) issues has given the green light to the structure of an 8,100 km long transnational fibre optic submarine cable linking Mumbai with Singapore, Chennai.

The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) assigned the crZ permit to MoEFCC on June 10 this year.
