Misogynistic influencer Andrew Tate arrested in Romania on human trafficking allegations

December 29 (UPI) – Andrew Tate, the arguably online influencer and former boxer known for his misogynistic views, has been arrested in Romania on human trafficking allegations involving at least six women.

Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were known as British citizens through România TV and the Romanian newspaper Libertatea.

Romanian officials said in reporters that the Tate brothers were arrested as part of an investigation into organized crime, human trafficking and rape in Romania and other countries, as well as the United States and Britain.

“Regarding the crime of rape, he noted that in March 2022, an injured user twice forced a suspect through exerting physical violence and mental strain to have sex,” Romanian officials told Press. Liberation.

The Tate brothers were reportedly released through the Romanian government in April but were later released, reported Libertatea.

He has been suspended from social media platforms adding TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Twitch like Twitter for his sexist comments about women.

Tate was recently reinstated on Twitter after questionable billionaire Elon Musk bought the platform, but it remains banned on other platforms.

The Romanian government was likely informed that Tate was in the country after engaging in an online fight with teenage activist Greta Thunberg.

In reaction to his response, Tate can be seen holding boxes from a Romanian pizzeria.
