Minnesota Forecast for February

UNDATED (WJON News) — After a record temperature on Monday and a record temperature on Wednesday to conclude the month of January, what can Minnesotans expect in terms of the weather for February?

The Climate Prediction Center provides its outlook for the month.

They say well above normal temperatures will continue as Super El Niño continues to grip the Upper Midwest.

The Weather Channel predicts highs in St. Cloud will be in the 40s the first week of the month, and in the mid-30s on Feb. 9-12. Around Valentine’s Day, we may be back to normal with maximum temperatures in the 20s.

The average high temperatures in St. Cloud to start February are about 21 degrees.  By Valentine’s Day its 23 degrees, so we could be closer to normal by then.  By the end of February our average high is already back up to 30 degrees.

Right now the Weather Channel says the only good chance we have for precipitation is February 8th and 9th in St. Cloud.

Saint-Cloud receives an average of 7. 6 inches of snow in February. Saint-Cloud receives an average of about 0. 75 inches of precipitation per month.

St. Cloud has only had 9. 1 inches of snow this season. We have 16. 6 inches of snow overall for this time of the season.

Right now, we have the least amount of snow ever recorded in St. Petersburg. John’s. Cloud, but there’s still time to accumulate snow in general this season.

They say the trend of much higher temperatures will continue as Super El Niño continues to dominate the Upper Midwest.

The Weather Channel predicts highs in St. Cloud will be in the 40s the first week of the month, and in the mid-30s on Feb. 9-12. Around Valentine’s Day, we may be back to normal with maximum temperatures in the 20s.

Average maximum temperatures in St. Cloud in early February are around 21 degrees. On Valentine’s Day, it will be 23 degrees, so we may be closer than usual until then. By the end of February, our average temperature already reaches 30 degrees. .

The Climate Prediction Center is calling for about average amounts of precipitation in Minnesota in February.

Right now, the Weather Channel says the only smart chance we’ll get precipitation is Feb. 8 and 9 in St. Louis. John’s. Cloud.
