Ministry of Health 3 new Covid-19 clusters

PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Health has the discovery of 3 new Covid-19 clusters in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak.

In a statement, Director General of Health Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the 3 groups are the Sepang Kongsi group, the KL Restaurant group and the Kuching Jetty group.

Together, the 3 teams make up 3 of the 15 new Covid-19 instances today.

These are the main points of the new clusters:

Sepang Kongsi Cluster

This cluster detected at a structure site in Sepang, Selangor. To date, 96 workers, including nine Malays and 87 foreigners, have been examined and samples taken.

Two tested positive while the others tested negative. Both positive cases are foreign nationals, and the index case, an Indonesian, tested positive before.

A citizen of Bangladesh, a close touch of the index case, tested today.

The source of the infection is still being investigated.

Kl Kl Cluster Restaurant

This group was detected by random box sampling through the district’s fitness office. To date, a total of 250 people, totaling 14 employees and 236 clients, have been examined and samples taken.

Two tested positive, while the others tested negative. Both positive cases are foreign nationals, the index case, an Indian citizen, who tested positive earlier.

Another Indian citizen, a close touch of the index case, tested today.

The source of the infection is still being investigated.

Kuching Cluster Jetty

This group of 25 fishermen who have been examined and sampled.

Two tested positive, while the others tested negative. Both positive cases are foreign nationals, and the index case, an Indonesian, tested positive before.

Another Indonesian, a case of close contact index, tested today.
