TORONTO, September 8, 2020 / PRNewswire / – Meridian launches the Meridian Donation Match program with a commitment to spend up to $250,000 on donations from administrators, employees, members and the public to two nonprofit organizations determined to ensure the fitness and well-being of disadvantaged youth and older adults. Through this program, Food4Kids Ontario and HelpAge Canada will earn up to $125,000 each from Meridian to help them continue their paintings for two of the most affected communities, COVID.
“Meridian promotes the well-being of Americans and communities through the strength of numbers. We magnified the effect of our commitment to communities by bringing our charitable donation program to our members and the general public,” said Bill Maurin, President and CEO of Meridian. “Meridian has decided on two organizations that make incredible paintings locally in Ontario and across Canada, in accordance with our technique of making an investment in a better quality of life for Canadians and the communities in which they live.
Food4Kids Ontario supplies food to young people in disadvantaged, low-income families. Volunteers prepare and deliver healthy food packages to schools and directly to youth homes on weekends. As young people return to the classroom during this period of COVID, keeping them healthy is the most important sensitive precedence for parents and communities.
HelpAge Canada ensures that healthy meals, groceries, non-public care, materials, and social support are successful for remote and pandemic-vulnerable seniors, and provides non-public protective devices for volunteers and fitness workers As the COVID-19 emergency continues HelpAge Canada is also running to keep vulnerable older people connected to their communities and enjoyed – that is, through technology.
“Organizations that provide essential facilities to the communities we live in and paint that provide relief and assistance to vulnerable teams want our help now, more than ever,” says Karen Farbridge, President of Meridian. “We all have a role to play and in combination we can make a meaningful contribution and build healthier communities.
