McDonald’s is about to abandon its operations in Kazakhstan following the disruption of the chain caused by the Ukraine crisis.
It highlights the root issues faced by many corporations in the country in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Western sanctions against Moscow, Bloomberg News reported.
In November, the company was forced to temporarily close its 24 Kazakh restaurants, owned by TOO Food Solutions KZ, after cutting ties with Russian meat suppliers.
