Mumbai: The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has challenged the fitness sector to think and the crisis has forced medical students to exercise more, not only at university but also in their internships. Making the most of what they have learned in the afterlife, several medical schools in the state have begun to implement adjustments to the internship program.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has submitted a draft regulation for the 2021 mandatory rotating practices regulation with a focus on express responsibilities in hospital departments. Highlighting the “competency-based” education methodology, it will pay attention to learning outcomes and prepare the learner for any scenarios that arise in the service, and schools are now busy educating their MBBS learners not only in theory, but also in practice.

Medical scholars are not encouraged to update their skills, but academics from dental, physiotherapy, and ayurveda schools also gain foundational training. A city-based dental institute trained its academics on how to intubate patients if needed.

One of the desirable outcomes of the competency-based education program is to allow medical graduates to understand, study, treat, and save you from new and emerging diseases,” the foreword adds.
