Fake coins were divided into other categories, with erroneous information/conspiracies representing 46% of the total. Another 11 conspiracies have been identified, ranging from accusations that Covid-19 evolved into a Wuhan lab as a biological weapon to references to the deep state. and a “new global order,” as well as references to that Covid-19 evolved as an intentional population control formula. Conspiracies linking Bill Gates to the pandemic were also identified, while lies surrounding the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci began appearing in April. Conspiracy theorists have accused him of exaggerating deaths and being a partner in the pharmaceutical industry.
Miracle remedies were by far the maximum widespread conspiracy and focal point of multiple convergent disinformation issues. Coming with President Trump’s advice on hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine as treatments/cures for Covid-19, no peer-reviewed knowledge has shown that they are effective in treating others with the disease. Similarly, when Trump claimed that soft ultraviolet and disinfectants can be used to treat Covid-19, the number of pieces in the “miracle cure” disinformation category went from 10,000 to more than 30,000 just a day later, an accumulation of lies directly from the investigators attributed to the president.
