An event anticipated by tens of thousands of attendees and promising religious deliverance from demonic forces will take place Saturday at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving.

“Dallas Mass Deliverance 2” is organized through Bible Davids Ministries, a devoted organization founded in Nigeria in 1995. The organization describes itself as a “Holy Spirit Movement that brings healing and hope to a dying world. “

Bible Davids Ministries held its first “Dallas Mass Deliverance” on June 24 at a conference center of God’s Redeemed Christian Church in Greenville, Texas. It attracted 10,000 spectators, according to organizers, who expect 20,000 on Nov. 18. (Toyota Music Factory can accommodate another 8,000 people in its amphitheater, 4,000 in its indoor theater and 2,500 in its intimate theater, according to its website. )

Saturday’s event includes worship sessions and “deliverance sessions,” in which “expert religious leaders and deliverance ministers will conduct intense and profoundly transformative sessions, guiding participants through the process of liberation from spiritual bondage and negative influences,” according to the promotional brochure. materials.

The occasion is led by the president of Bible Davids Ministries, who is heeding the call of the Apostle of Bible Davids. “There is a demonic epidemic in our country. It wouldn’t possibly manifest, but I’m telling you the truth, this demonic pandemic is killing other people faster than [the] COVID-19 pandemic,” Davids said in an interview with the Dallas Morning News.

According to Bible Davids Ministries’ website, Jesus Christ gave the impression to Davids when he was 10 years old and anointed him as an apostle. The online page says Jesus told Davids, “Son, I raise you up as a pillar in my kingdom. “for the end of time, to pontificate forcefully the word for the liberation of humanity. “

Among Saturday’s guest speakers was Pastor Greg Locke, a far-right megachurch pastor who has introduced a mass deliverance ministry in Tennessee. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he gained national attention by keeping his church open and defying mask mandates, the Washington Post reported. Reported. He gave the impression at rival rallies and tents across the country, peddling former President Donald Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was a robbery.

When asked what a release consultation entails, Davids told the story of a man who he said attended his Garland church on Sunday.

“As I preached. . . Something miraculous happened,” Davids said. I felt that the words he was saying spoke to him, even though he was speaking to a giant audience.

“And then I saw him sobbing profusely, uncontrollably, in the middle of the shift. “

Davids said he felt the man being freed from a strong demonic presence and interrupted the service to pray for him. “As he prayed and asked this demon to come out of him, he felt as if something was strangling him. “

After the session, the man told Davids that he had planned to kill himself the night before and that he felt guilty about his younger brother’s suicide several years earlier.

“Do you know what happened that day?” David said, “He delivers. “

Registration for the event is closed, according to the group’s Eventbrite page. November 18 at nine o’clock in the morning at Toyota Music Factory. Doors open at 7 a. m.
