Manila deploys COVID-19 security guards

MANILA, Philippines – When the metropolitan domain of Manila returned to the modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), the Manila city government deployed 400 new coronavirus protection officers (COVID-19) for police and barangay officials to enforce public aptitude standards.

However, the new bailiffs were before their deployment on Tuesday to practice maximum tolerance with the criminals.

Manila will apply a peer/odd program for quarantine pass holders until the end of the MECQ era on August 18.

Those whose quarantine passes end in a number can leave their homes and run essential errands between five a.m. and nine p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and five to 13 hs. Sundays. For those with quarantine passes ending in even number, they can leave their home from five a.m. to nine p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and between 2pm. and nine of the night on Sundays.

People who work in personal corporations bring office-issued identity cards to make their travel easier.

Domagoso, for his part, stated that drivers of tricycles, electric tricycles and mopeds can continue to travel their routes through the MECQ as long as they are only wearing a passenger who, like them, deserves to also wear a mask.
