West Bengal’s Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC), Supreme Mamata Banerjee, took to Twitter on Saturday to wish Nobel Prize-winning economist Amartya Sen a recovery from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Sen, who had a mild form of the virus, ended his quarantine at his Santiniketan residence, the PTI news agency reported, mentioning an official from the fitness branch.
“He currently suffers from a mild cough and sneeze,” the official added.
Sen is lately in India and has been in the country since the week of June.
