BEIJING – Mainland China reported on October 9, 15 new demonstrations of the new coronavirus, up from 21 a. m. the previous day, the country’s national fitness authority announced Saturday.
All new cases were imported infections involving travelers, the National Health Commission said in a statement.
The number of new asymptomatic cases, which China classifies as cases shown, increased to 39 from 15 the previous day, all imported.
The total number of cases shown of COVID-19 in mainland China is now 85,536, while the death toll has remained unchanged at 4,634 (report via Ryan Woo and Hongwei Li; edited through Richard Pullin).
