The public establishment of shopping areas “Madayn”, represented through the Industrial Innovation Academy and in collaboration with Oman LNG, presented the Sur Oasis incubator in South Industrial City under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Badr Al Maawali, Governor of Southern Al Sharqiyah, and in the presence of Hilal bin Hamad Al Hasani, CEO of Madayn.
The incubator is part of efforts for the business climate in Madayn’s commercial cities through the status quo of incubators and accelerators in various governorates, which will attract innovators, traders and SME owners and link those SMEs with the commercial sector.
The Sur Oasis incubator also reflects Oman LNG’s tireless efforts to increase the country’s price by supporting the aspirations of other young people and traders through such initiatives, and contributes consecutively to the improvement of the national economy. In addition, the incubator represents Oman. LNG’s efforts to align with Oman Vision 2040 by focusing on innovation, marketing and maintaining speed with the goals of Industry 4. 0.
As the first incubator controlled and operated through the Industrial Innovation Academy outside muscat Governorate, the South Oasis Incubator will act as an ideal marketing platform that will provide a diversity of hubs and services for marketers and innovators. These centers come with the provision of coworking spaces, personal offices, consulting centers, educational programs, technical assistance centers, among others. To expand business opportunities, the incubator will link incubated corporations with factories and businesses in the commercial town of Sur.
The rite of inauguration also marked the beginning of 30 participants in the commercial innovation program, funded and supported through Oman LNG, which took place last October in the commercial city of Sur and addressed the merchants and innovators of southern Al Sharqiyah in the food and beverage industry.
Commenting on the added price through Sur Oasis Incubator, engineer Abdulqadir bin Salim Al Balushi, general manager of Sur Industrial City, expressed his gratitude to Oman LNG for its vital systems in the southern governorate of Al Sharqiyah. “This incubator will serve as a leading hub for entrepreneurs, innovators and SME owners in southern Al Sharqiyah, and we will work to link the incubated projects with companies and factories operating in the south trading city to expand their business opportunities,” Al Balushi stressed.
He added: “Ciudad Industrial Sur is running lately on the launch of the moment edition of the Industrial Innovation Program before the end of the year, in cooperation with Academia de Innovación comercial. The next edition will be in one of the strategic sectors similar to technology. “
Dr Amor bin Nasser Al Matani, Executive Director of the Oman LNG Development Foundation, said: “The launch of this incubator reflects Oman LNG’s ongoing efforts to help young Omanis, expand the skills and capabilities of marketers and offer training, and advisory systems to ensure the long-term sustainability and expansion of SMEs.
