MINSK, October 25 (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko sent greetings to Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as the country celebrates Republic Day, BelTA from the Belarusian leader’s press service.
“The adoption of the Declaration on Sovereignty is a historic occasion for Kazakhstan and the first step towards independence. Despite the complicated history of the formation of the state, its foundations laid more than 3 decades ago remain unshakable,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
The head of state said that Kazakhstan firmly adheres to the principles of a peace-loving foreign policy, contributes greatly to strengthening mutual understanding and good neighborliness, and that Astana’s truly extensive projects play a vital role in ensuring external security and resolving humanity’s global disorders.
“I am sure that the tried and tested relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan, based on friendship and trust, will continue to expand in order to gain advantages from our citizens. I wish you, dear Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich [Tokayev], good health, happiness, from your circle of relatives and other like-minded people, and stability and prosperity for the other fraternal people of Kazakhstan,” the greeting continued.
