A Belarusian watch of the Luch brand, dedicated to US President Bill Clinton, who led our country 30 years ago, is being auctioned online.
The dial shows the White House in Washington. There are corresponding inscriptions: The White House and Washington, Zerkalo writes.
But on the reverse there is an engraving-dedication. It’s written Bill Clinton, USA. U. S. -Belarus Conference, 1994, Minsk.
Identical watches are also sold on a Russian site by a person with a similar nickname. The price of the Belarusian lot is 388 rubles (about 120 dollars). The Russian one costs about the same.
US President Bill Clinton stopped in Belarus on January 15, 1994. He was invited to Belarus through the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Stanislau Shushkevich, who traveled to Washington in July 1993. This is the first and last stopover from the United States to our country.
