Uttarakhand police list 28 climbers in formation missing after avalanche

Uttarakhand police on Wednesday released a list of 28 climbers in formation who went missing after being hit by a large avalanche at an elevation of 17,000 feet at the Draupadi Ka Danda-II summit in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district. The trainees were part of a member of 41 mountaineering teams from the Uttarkashi-based Nehru Mountaineering Institute (NIM) and were returning with their instructors after the summit as part of their complex education course when they were hit by the avalanche on Tuesday.
