A former government minister accused the police of “not bothering” in taking strong action against those who violate The Covid-19 restrictions.
Lord Blencathra has said he will refuse to congratulate officials on their paintings on the pandemic.
And he told the Lords that he was tempted to disclose to every police force in the country for “committing mass hate crimes” opposed to the elderly and disabled people in the confinement.
He said: “I need to back down on sanctions and implementing provisions that, on paper, are excellent.
“However, as we have noticed over and over in recent months, the police simply don’t bother them and it’s not the fault of the minister or the Department of Health.”
He continued: “I am tempted to point out that all police forces in this country have committed massive hate crimes against the elderly and disabled.We spent 4 months locked up, obeying the law, and many others?”
“We saw big Black Lives Matter protests and not a single user fined, but the police bowed to them, of course.
“We have noticed major violations of all kinds of legislation in Leicester through the homeowners of Asian maquiladoras and, again, the police and the government have done everything because they need to offend their communities.
“There have been lots of illegal raves across the country and no single users have been fined.Now I settle for that where thousands of other people end up, it’s a problem, but the police haven’t managed to dissolve or sanction the little raves and parties at home.”
The cabinet minister pressed to find out if mass evidence can allow others to spend time with their families over Christmas.
He told BBC Radio 4’s Today: I hope that if this mass testing regime comes out, that if the new generation we’re running so, it works, or if we can get a vaccine through then, we can’t govern then I hope we can have a satisfied and loving Christmas that other people aspire to.

Professor Alan McNally of the University of Birmingham said the tests have intensified over the summer.
When asked if the time had come to replace the tests being carried out, he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme:
“I don’t think the time has come, I think the time has come to think about extending the tests to the wider network and the asymptomatic summer tests when we were relatively confident in Covid, knowing that autumn and winter would come.”
