LinkedIn cuts 960 jobs internationally due to COVID-19 pandemic

“… we have achieved an incredibly complicated resolution of approximately 960 positions, or about 6% of our worker base, in our matrix of global sales and skills acquisition organizations (GSO and GTO) … those are the only layoffs we expect,” LinkedIn said CEO Ryan Roslansky in a note to workers.

The senior executive said that workers running in France, Sweden and Spain will receive more information on role-effects proposals in August, and that workers in Italy will hear about the effects proposals in September.

LinkedIn said it would provide at least 10 weeks of severance pay and that its global immigration team would provide personalization for those on company-sponsored visas.

The executive said the company would rent for newly created stalls and paintings with interested painters to explore the opportunities.
