Roundnet is a mix of several elements of popular games such as volleyball, table tennis, badminton and tennis. This game is practiced with two in line with the team. Each team can only play a maximum of 3 times as in volleyball. The game begins with a service from one team to another, and the team takes turns returning the ball to the net that has the shape of a mini trampoline. The device used in the game is called Spikeball.
The European Tour series takes position this summer with 4 Grand Slam tournaments in Romania, the UK, Latvia and Germany, and ends with the European Championships in Limerick when the European groups will be crowned European champions in the men’s, women’s and combined divisions. This will be the last tournament before the first world championships held in Belgium.
Roundnet has the new summer game since lockdown, in fact, lockdown has almost done the game a favor. Simon Leonard explains: “We found that mixing family circles in people’s gardens was as fun as possible. People played safely in the house and then in the parks once things reopened. We had a hundred groups in the first tournament after the close. “
“The wonderful thing about Roundnet is that it caters to everyone, from those who don’t have a game to the best athlete. It is simple to understand, inclusive and social, and combines players from games such as GAA, rugby and football with whom they like to play games for fun. The European Championships are a wonderful opportunity for amateur players across the country to see the game at an all-time high and show their interest in betting on Ireland in the future. “
