On the Opinion page on August 12, I found it an attractive juxtaposition of the letters published that day. In the first letter, Trump’s clear handling of the coronavirus pandemic, followed by a moment letter discussing the horrors of the two nuclear weapons launched over Japan through the United States towards the end of World War II.
According to Wikipedia, the estimated number of other people killed in Japan from the two nuclear bombs was combined between 129,000 and 226,000, adding the number who died in the following months due to the effects of burns, radiation diseases and other injuries.
At the time of writing, approximately 168,000 other people have died in the United States from COVID-19 in the past five months. According to forbes.com, the White House predicts 230,000 coronavirus deaths as of November 1. So, on Election Day, it is very likely that so many Americans died from COVID-19 as the maximum estimate of the number. of others killed in Japan as a result of the effects of two nuclear bombs.
I have to say, my most productive impression of “Dubya” Bush: “Trumpie, you’re doing a great job!”

A recent letter said the election of Joe Biden would threaten civil rights, freedom of expression and journalistic freedom. MAGA friends will have to live a reality of choice.
From our point of view, and many others who have seen Trump’s Reality Show in horror and disgust over the more than 4 years, it is Trump who needs to diminish the right to vote, who demonizes the loose press when his lies are naked, who attacks human dignity. and the price of immigrants who need American citizens, and it was he who turned his back on the millions of people who contracted COVID-19. Ignore more than 165,000 American deaths (in just 8 months!) Like, “That’s what it is.”
We saw Biden and Harris speak as now alleged Democratic candidates for president and vice president. He looked refreshingly lucid and undeniable about Trump’s dissatisfied ramblings with his Fox friends. Biden doesn’t call the press “fake news.” Unlike Trump, Biden defends cruelty toward immigrants and their children. Biden doesn’t denigrate others with unpleasant insults. As for Harris, he adds a serious price to Biden’s crusade to overthrow America’s top corrupt president in fashion history.

Dem or Republican, we are all outraged that the job and its role in the upcoming elections are under attack.
Eliminate sorting machines and mailboxes across the country as a cost-cutting mechanism, really? In fact, it is not about improving the postal service, which is a service required in our constitution. To what extent will electoral manipulation be lightly veiled?
Vote early, use deposit boxes or take your vote to the polls; don’t let this circumvent our right to fair and loose elections to discourage your vote.
