The scenario we have here in the United States is unsustainable. Millions of other people simply can’t without a COVID-19 relief bill. The richest country in the world deserves to have millions of other people in danger of hunger. I ask our politicians: Senators Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham and Congressman William Timmons should not leave the workplace to cross unless they approve this bill if necessary.
Although the national eviction moratorium is a small step in keeping tenants staying, it does nothing to help unemployed tenants compensate for the loss of wages used to pay rent. Therefore, it is inconsistent with the new bill providing a $100 bill in emergency contracts. assistance to help tenants and smallholders and avoid millions of evictions next year. In addition, the new bill will have to accrue SNAP’s maximum profits over 15 cents as young people and families go to bed hungry.

Our politicians will have to be there for others in this pandemic; we will have to protect our young people from trauma, hunger and despair. To anyone, please do your homework and have this bill signed with those two mandatory provisions, $100 bill in emergency housing assistance and expanding food aid.
