Reps. Frank Lucas, R-Okla., And Andy Barr, R-Ky., have introduced the law to ensure coVID-19 study efforts from universities and institutes of studies that oppose cyberattacks.
The bill aims to supply cybersecurity criteria and practices created in particular for researchers and universities, Frank Lucas’ workplace said Tuesday.
“My bill would ask the director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology to provide direction to maintain studies on COVID-19 and particularly the risk of cyberattacks,” Barr said.
Lucas noted that the government had gained evidence of state-sponsored cyberattacks opposing COVID-19 activities.
