Lebanon and Turkey are the world’s top countries, according to a new report

Lebanon, Turkey and Armenia are respectively the top 3 countries in the world.

With the latest data collected in a hundred countries from 2021 to mid-2022, the American statistics company Gallup also lists the saddest and highest countries in the world.

Lebanese citizens basically cite the consequences of the Beirut port explosion in 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic, along with endemic corruption and an elite-induced economic crisis, as reasons for their anger. 49% of respondents in the country said they felt angry, adding the day before to their participation in the survey.

High inflation, aggravated by the crisis in Ukraine, is the leading cause of anger among 48% of Turkish respondents.

Armenian respondents, with a percentage anger rate, cited political tensions with neighboring Azerbaijan over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Meanwhile, Iraq, Afghanistan and Jordan ranked fourth, fifth and sixth, the most that brought with it years of fighting that led to socio-economic crises.

Mali and Sierra Leone, in 7th and 8th places, were the only countries outside the Middle and Far East.
