The Oakland Athletics will spend their scheduled day making plans for the future after a member of the organization tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday night. The Oakland game on Sunday in Houston was postponed to allow for more tap searches and tests, and the team plans to stay until at least Sunday night.
There were no details provided on whether the positive test came from a player, coach or someone else.
Oakland is expected to play a series of three games in Seattle starting Tuesday, then return home to host San Diego next weekend before a four-game series with the Astros at the Coliseum, which can offer a potential chance for recovery.
Houston is scheduled to open a series of three games opposite Texas starting Tuesday at Minute Maid Park. If the series goes according to plan, the Rangers will occupy the same clubhouse that the Ace has just used.
