Russia has reported a new drone attack on Moscow, within the framework of the temporary closure of the main airports, adding Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin showed how air defense systems shot down a drone over the Istra district, about 50 kilometers west of the Kremlin.
Flights were suspended for a few hours due to the incident. The Ministry of Defense announced that around 9:45 p. m. Time from Moscow, its air defenses managed to shoot down an unmanned aerial vehicle over the Bryansk region, bordering Ukraine.
In the Belgorod region near Ukraine, air defenses also intercepted a drone near Kupino without causing injuries or casualties. However, four other people were wounded during the Ukrainian shelling of the village of Urazovo.
Despite these developments, Ukraine did not react promptly and refrains from publicly acknowledging its responsibility for the attacks in Russia.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, in an interview on Friday, said he had warned Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner Group, about possible threats to his life before Prigozhin’s apparent disappearance in a plane crash on Wednesday.
Lukashenko, President Vladimir Putin’s best friend, said he had issued the warning twice.
The first case occurred during the June negotiations, when Prigozhin, once aligned with Putin, orchestrated a 24-hour uprising against the Russian government by directing his Wagner forces toward Moscow.
“I said, ‘Yevgeny, do you realize that you are going to condemn your other peoples and that you yourself will perish?’He had just returned from the front. On a whim, he said, ‘Then I will die. ‘Damn!'” M. Lukashenko told reporters in remarks reported Friday through Belarusian state news firm Belta, according to CNN.
Prigozhin blatantly criticized Putin and the Russian Defense Ministry for several months before his uprising against the Kremlin. He claimed that his forces lacked sufficiently good support, essential weapons and mandatory military supplies. His June insurrection was in spite of everything. it was deactivated thanks to the intervention of M. Lukashenko, who initiated negotiations with the Wagner Group.
Was Yevgeny Prigozhin’s personal plane destroyed and what exactly happened to him?
Several theories have been put forward about what may have caused the plane to crash while traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
Using photographs of the crash posted online, military analyst and former pilot Sean Bell points to four key elements that may provide clues as to what likely happened to the plane.
1. A missile attack
One symbol shows a “whirlwind of clouds” that doesn’t stand out comfortably from the rest, Bell says.
Based on his own passion for flying fighter jets, he explains that if a surface-to-air missile hit the plane, “you would see this kind of steam wake in the later stages of its approach. “
“So it may simply be an explosion or a surface-to-air missile system,” he says.
2. “Smoke” as it collapses
Bell highlights what appears to be a cloud of smoke coming from the wreckage of the plane, midway through its descent.
He says there is “almost no smoke” and most likely a “fuel evacuation. “
“It’s a huge amount, it’s a huge damage to the plane that caused this. “
3 and 4. Lack of wing or tail in the air and on the ground
Images of the plane closer to the ground appear to show it without its wing or empennage, which may explain why it descended “vertically, like a falling leaf. “
The fourth point made by Bell is that other images of the crash show the empennage “at some distance” from the main component of the plane.
“Now, if we put it all together . . . there are many reasons why this could have happened, but it’s not an herbal accident,” Bell says.
“This is a crisis that happened in the air . . . There were rumors that at the last minute they had placed a box of wine [containing a bomb].
“The challenge with this theory is that, in general, [an explosion] inside an airplane causes it to explode . . . Whereas a surface-to-air missile formula or an air-to-air missile formula attempts to search for the juiciest, meatiest component of an aircraft.
“That’s why I could tear off a wing. And as soon as he did, the fate of the plane was sealed. “

The plane crash that allegedly killed Wagner Group leader Eugene Prigozhin has raised questions about the Russian mercenary group’s long history.
Vladimir Putin Wagner’s troops will swear allegiance to the Russian state.

The American journalist was detained while on a business holiday in Yekaterinburg in March, about 2,000 kilometers east of Moscow. Most notably, he is the first American journalist to face accusations of espionage in Russia since the Soviet era.
Gershkovich’s pretrial detention authorization was originally scheduled to expire on August 30. But the Moscow City Court, in a ruling that drew objections from U. S. government officials and the Journal, on Thursday extended the custody order for another three months.
On Saturday, the court released documents indicating that Mr. Sept. Gershkovich appealed.
It should be noted that an earlier appeal filed by Gershkovich against the decision to keep him in detention until the end of August was rejected by the court in June.

Russia’s military cooperation with Iran remains firm in the face of geopolitical pressures, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
His comments stick to reports that Washington has suggested Tehran suspend drone sales to Moscow.
The United States has urged Iran to halt the sale of armed drones that Russia has used in the standoff in Ukraine, according to a Financial Times report this month. This data comes from an Iranian official and a user close to the discussions.
Although Iran has declared its drone deliveries to Russia, it has in the past claimed that those deliveries took place before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Moscow has refuted claims that Iranian drones were used in the Ukraine conflict.
