Solar energy is accelerating in Spain after the Covid-19 crisis. Lately Berdrola is building 150 MW, while Foresight recently acquired a 26. 1 MW project. FRV has secured investment for a 136 MW network, Audax plans to factor green bonds to finance its project. It is expected that the pipe and a solar park of 800 MW will force the aluminum of Alcoa in Galicia.

The deployment of photovoltaic energy has soared in Spain in recent weeks, with a number of large-scale uns subsidized projects being developed, after the market stopped due to the pandemic.
This week alone, several other non-subsidized projects were announced, and the structure also began in a series of giant solar installations. Pv mag summarized the newest primary developments.
Iberdrola projects MW
The Spanish application has a structure of 3 photovoltaic plants of 50 MW in the center of Spain; Barcience’s assignment is being structured in Cuenca, while Romeral’s will be built in the municipality of Alarcón; the third allocation, Olmedilla, will be located in the Olmedilla region of Alarcón. In addition, Iberdrola presented to Ciudad Real a solar transfer of one hundred MW for approval, which will be part of a transfer of green hydrogen of 150 million euros that will also come with storage. Iberdrola has recently had under structure 7. 5 GW of renewable power in Spain.
Foresight’s un subsidized project
British investment firm Foresight Group LLP has acquired a solar allocation of 26. 1 MW near Huelva, in the southern region of Andalusia, to IM2 Energy Solar for an undisclosed amount. Construction will begin without delay and the allocation is expected to be fully operational through the quarter of 2021. When completed, it will produce about 50 GWh of blank electricity each year. Designed with single-axis followers, the assignment awarded a 10-year force acquisition contract with Shell Energy Europe, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell.
FRV 138 MW
Spanish solar development in line with Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), a unit of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy, and French bank Natixis have closed the investment for the allocation of 138 MW in San Servon, which FRV plans to build in the city of Solana de los Barros. in Extremadura. La operation is the first Climate Bond certified operation in Spain and includes a loan of 64 million euros in which Natixis acts as a subscriber and single coordinator. FRV has signed a long-term force acquisition agreement with Engie Spain in the assignment, the exact amount and duration of which are not yet known. The mapping is expected to be completely incompatible with the optional one until 2022. Once uniform, the San Servón plant will generate approximately 291 GWh of blank force consistent with the year.
Alcoa switches to solar energy
Liberty, a unit of the British trade organization GFG Alliance, is recently negotiating with Alcoa to purchase an aluminum plant owned through the U. S. organization in San Ciprion, in northern Spain in Galicia. He met with representatives of the plant’s workers. Liberty explained this week its goal of monetizing San Ciprion, as it has accumulated 175 million euros in losses. As one-month negotiations progress, Liberty aims to ensure that the plant supplies electricity below market values. It plans to do so through forced acquisition agreements for a 400 MW wind farm and an 800 MW site at a location near the track. The company has until 28 September to complete the acquisition of the plant, with the acquisition value set at 1 euro.
